Description of Service:
Haldimand and Norfolk Counties under contract with the Dunnville Salvation Army Family Services to deliver Homelessness Prevention Programs on behalf of the two Counties. The service provides temporary emergency assistance to any low-income person 16 yrs or over in either County to find and retain housing.

Services include:

listings of private and rent-geared-to-income rental housing
information on shelters, domiciliary hostels and Tenant Protection Act
Referrals to budget counselling
Food bank services
Housing advocacy
Moving and storage programs
interest free loans to prevent eviction due to rental arrears to a maximum of two months rent
temporary emergency accommodation for homeless individuals
