Repayment:
Repayments are collected many ways. If households are part of our HIT program we controll their funds through a trust account. Pay directs to our trust fund from OW/ODSP and employers, etc. Some clients make regular payments to the office. We accept post-dated cheques because of the geography we serve. The payment managed files have clients forwarding proof of current shelter payments and we forgive payments - or they make the payment if they pay their rent or utilities late.
Funding:
The Rent bank Program is funded in partnership with the MMA&H (client funds) , DNSSAB - staffing dollars , LIPI administration.
We do deliver the provincial energy emergency fund/program. The fund is financially topped up by our DNSSAB via NCB/OCB funds and our own fund-raising.
Hours: after hours and weekends by appointment.
