Eligibility Criteria

• Will assist with both low income families and recipients of social assistance
  
• Must have eviction notice
  
• Rent bank does not assist with current or future months rent - only arrears
  
• Assist with maximum 2 months rent
  
• Assist only once within a 24 month period
  
• Wellington County uses low-income cut-off amounts to determinine eligibility. eg. 1 person - $24,000/year, 2 people - $28,240/year, 3 people - $32,920/year, etc.

Application procedure - How long does it take to process an application?

• Usually 1 to 2 business days

Rentbank loans are provided for:

• None - Wellington County does not provide loans

Accepting applications from:

• Direct contact with anyone who contacts the rent bank

Maximum loan provided:

• Maximum 2 months rent can be issued payable directly to the landlord
